Almost 50 years ago in a new micro-district of Riga – Kengarags – a school was built such as never before in Latvia: spacious classrooms, a stadium, two swimming pools, its own movie theater… And over two thousand students.

Since those distant times more than a generation of highschoolers and pedagogues have tied their biography to this notable building not far from Daugava river. You can say that in the west Riga starts with mouth of Daugava, and in the east – with 72^nd high school.

Our pride – is not just the renovated building and a modern stadium, but mainly former and current graduates. Workers, politicians, financiers, athletes, doctors, teachers… Living in Latvia and scattered around the entire world… Winners of various competitions and Olympics, as well as those less successful in their studies.

All of them – are children of our school.

We are interested in all the good marks which were left by the graduates of the 72^nd in Latvia and wherever else. We are interested in deeds and plans of those who now are studying within these walls.
